Frequently Asked Questions about the Exeter Night Walk (click a sub-heading to go to that section) General Groups/Teams On the night General questions... How much does it cost to take part? There is a £10 registration fee. We then ask you to raise as much sponsorship as possible to support the work of Exeter Leukaemia Fund and Macmillan Cancer Support with a suggested minimum amount of £20. How long is the route? 10 miles. Who can enter? You have to be 16 years old or over to enter and female! Can men do the walk? Unfortunately no! This is a ladies only event; however we do need volunteers on the night, so men are more then welcome to help us by volunteering. (Please see volunteering section) What happens after I have registered for the walk? After you have registered, you will receive a welcome pack. This may take up to 3 weeks to arrive – this will include sponsor forms and other information about the walk. If we have your email address, this information may be emailed to you rather than posted. When will I receive my start time and walking number? These will be posted to you in April before the event. What if I am given a different time to the one I asked for? The entry form asks for your preferred start time. We will endeavor to ensure that your wishes are met, however times will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Do I bring my sponsorship money with me on the night? NO, please don't! After the event, send your cheque and sponsorship forms for the total amount raised to: Exeter Night Walk c/o ELF Office, Haematology Centre, RD&E Hospital, Barrack Road, Exeter, EX2 5DW. Questions about groups or teams wanting to participate... Can we walk as a team? We positively encourage you to walk in a team. Make sure that you include the team name on your registration form (all the same spelling) and tick the same arrival time to ensure that you are all given the same start time. Can we raise sponsorship money as a team? Yes of course! But please ensure when you send your sponsorship money and sponsorship forms to us that you clearly state your team name and the name of each team member so that we can record your donation. If you fundraise online as a team through Virgin Money Giving please clearly mark each team member by name. Questions about the actual night... What time do I need to arrive? Your arrival and start times will be confirmed in writing to you when you receive your welcome pack after you have registered. Can I park at the Arena? There is parking at the arena but it is limited therefore we would ask that if you are taking part in the walk with others that you car share.
